Semah as one of the twelve services of Anatolian Alevi in Cem and considered as one fundamental elements of Cem, is described as a set of mystical and aesthetic body movements performed by the servicer called “semahçı” in harmony with the musical rhythm and as to the lyrics sang by “zakir”, devout playing saz.
